1. Teams Overview
There are 12 total teams in the competition.
-
6 Boys Teams
-
6 Girls Teams
-
Each team has 6 athletes, one from each age group:
Ages 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, and 18
2. Race Format
Each age group competes two at a time (one athlete from each team).
EXAMPLE:
-
13 year old boys from Team A and Team B race each other.
-
Team A runs in the inside lane
-
Team B runs in the outside lane
Each athlete runs only once, and after each race, the lane assignments switch for the next age group for fairness
| Age | Lane Assignment Example |
|---|---|
| 13 | Team A = Inside, Team B = Outside |
| 14 | Team A = Outside, Team B = Inside |
| 15 | Team A = Inside, Team B = Outside |
| 16 | Team A = Outside, Team B = Inside |
| 17 | Team A = Inside, Team B = Outside |
| 18 | Team A = Outside, Team B = Inside |
This pattern ensures every team races equally from both sides over the course of the event.
THE TRACK

3. Scoring
-
Each athlete’s time is recorded for their single sprint.
-

✅ Fastest total time = better team ranking
4. Rounds & Advancement

Round 1
-
All 12 teams compete
-
The top 4 boys’ teams and top 4 girls’ teams (based on total time) advance to Round 2
Round 2
-
4 boys’ teams + 4 girls’ teams compete
-
The top 2 boys’ teams and top 2 girls’ teams advance to the Final Round
Final Round
